Who remembers the hot teen drama THE OC? You know it came out 20 years again right. I remember watching America Idol and they would show previews of the show. I was hooked. This is not your typical teen drama. The shows stars Peter Gallagher, Kelly Rowan, Benjamin Mckenzie, Mischa Barton, Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson, Melinda Clarke and Tate Donovan.
Season One focuses on Ryan Atwood’s arrival in Newport Beach to live with Sandy and Kirsten Cohen, who take him in after his mother kicks him out. Throughtout this season Ryan tries to fit in. He quickly befriends and bonds with Seth Cohen, and begins to have a romantic relationship with Marissa Cooper. Although coming from very different backgrounds, Ryan soon discovers that he deals with similar issues to his new peers, such as self-identity conflict. The relationship between Ryan and Marissa hits like fire when he supports her through her parents’ divorce. This show really hit me hard because I always wanted to be the girl seen. It ran for 4 season from 2003 to 2007. The show started to show low ratings and they had to cancel the show early. To bad it was a show I enjoyed. Did you know you can now watch it on Amazon?

1. One of Schwartz’s biggest regrets was not doing more with Luke (Chris Carmack) and Anna (Samaire Armstrong) left the show way to early, Schwartz wish he kept them on the show longer.
2. Shailene Woodley originally played Kaitlyn Cooper, Marissa’s little sister, in season one.
3. Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson dated for most of the whole series run.
4. Chad Michael Murray was offered a role in The O.C., but he turned it down to appear in One Tree Hill. Which now I’m so glad Chad was on the CW’s One Tree Hill. I love this show too.
5. The Cohens’ pool is only 4 feet deep. The actors had to film the pool scenes on their knees.
6. Adam Brody was scared of sailing boats so a 40 year old stunt double filled in his scenes.
7. Cam Gigandet was in the OC.
8. Rachel Bilson was supposed to only guest star on the show.
9. Olivia Wilde was runner up to play Marissa Cooper, but it was given to Mischa Barton.
10. Mischa Barton didn’t want off the show.
