You might ask me when did I start collecting teen magazine pinups. Here is my story. I remember when I was ten years old, and I wanted to watch the movie Home Alone, but my parents never took me to see the film in theaters. When it came out on VHS I remember buying it and watching it over and over. I loved the little boy who played Kevin Mccalister. At the time I didn’t know his name, but then learned it was Macaulay Culkin.

I asked my mom if she could take me to go get a magazine on him at a grocery store called Alberstons in 1990. I remember looking through all the magazines and Macaulay was in only a few of them at the time. The first teen magazine I bought was Tutti Frutti. I remember seeing a bunch of Beverly Hills 90210 stars on it, Marky Mark aka Mark Wahlberg among others. I was so excited to get home and start reading the magazine.

I learned a lot that day about Macaulay Culkin. He was the blond boy who was friends with Michael Jackson. Had 7 brothers and sisters one at the time was acting and was in Home Alone named Kieran Culkin. I feel in love with the Culkin family. I could not wait for the new issues to come out. I started having all his pinups and a few posters on my bedroom wall, and I always wanted more magazines on him. I then would go to the library and look in those old books and look him up by name. Then I would search the magazine to copy the articles on the copy machine. I have drawers of information on him.

My favorite Macaulay Culkin movie still to this day is still Home Alone. My Girl comes in second along with Getting Even with Dad at third. When Macaulay stopped acting in 1994. I kind of stopped liking him and started to fall in love with Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He was a dreamboat and stared with Tim Allen on the huge hit tv show Home Improvement.

Home Improvement stared those other Taylor kids Zachery Ty Bryan, and Taran Noah Smith. Home Improvement was my all time favorite show. I could not stop watching it. I would have every Jonathan Taylor Thomas pinup, article or poster I could find. More JTT secrets coming soon.

I remember Jonathan Brandis and Jonathan Taylor Thomas were always on top of the 90’s teen magazines such as Bop, Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, Big Bopper, Super teen, Teen Machine and 16 magazine. I loved getting the magazines in the mail each month. JTT was my favorite.

In 10th grade I became the biggest boy band lover. My first boyband I feel in love with was Hanson. They were from my home state of Oklahoma and born in Tulsa. The MMMBOP boys had the perfect music and I must of listened to their cd’s a million times. Then Backstreet Boys and Nsync came out. I was more head over hills then any teenage girl, and had my walls plastered. JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake were my favorites from Nsync and Nick Carter and Brian Littrell from the Backstreet Boys. My first boy band concert was Nsync then it was the Backstreet Boys. These boys had my heart.

Then when I graduated from High School I threw away a ton of my magazines. I don’t even know why I did. Went to college got my degree in child education. Started working with children. I love teaching kids. So you ask me why did I create a teen magazine website. Well I still to this day love all my favorite teen stars. From movie stars to boy bands. I still go see the Backstreet Boys, Aaron Carter, 98 Degrees, and O-town. I love watching movies and listening to music. I love learning about the stars today, and remembering my younger days in the 90’s.

I have sold on Ebay for 18 years and still do to this day, but now I’m mainly focusing on my teen magazine pinup website. I love helping people find and collect their favorite stars. So yes I still get the old 1970’s through today teen magazines, and yes I sale them to you. A lot of the magazines are harder to find these days.
